One of the biggest perks of traveling is getting to experience new things. Whether it be immersing yourself in unique cultures, exploring beautiful landscapes or indulging in new culinary experiences, different regions around the world offer the opportunity to embrace the unknown and gain new perspectives. Being a wine lover and sustainable business owner, when I spend time in different countries, one of my favourite things to do is experiment with local wines.
For this reason, I’ve decided to start a new series highlighting the best ways to find and enjoy local wines in select regions around the world!
In one of my previous series, I discussed ways that improved sustainability practices could benefit the wine industry, such as re-working the packaging and transportation processes that are currently in place, alongside minimizing the environmental impact from day-to-day operations. If you’d like to read more on this topic, you can find my previous series here.
Now, beyond my passion for wine sustainability, as an entrepreneur, I’m also concerned with promoting a healthy economy. And I believe this starts with supporting local businesses. Because of this, my new series will also aim to educate readers on how simple choices we make when choosing wines can lead to positive outcomes for local economies.
So, if you've ever been curious about expanding your knowledge of wines from around the world, or if you're traveling soon and want to try something new, this series will teach you everything you need to know about selecting and enjoying wines in different countries around the world.
